Group Piano for Beginners

In this introductory group class, students will learn basic piano skills through collaboration, one-to-one instruction, and independent practice. Each student will have access to their own keyboard and a combination of music reading and music performance skills will be emphasized. Topics include correct posture and hand position; using dynamics to play expressively; introduction to the five-finger pattern, major scales, and common chords; using the pedals; and reading standard piano notation.
